Inside the DANA Factory: Technical Manufacturing Process
Precision Engineering for the UAE’s Toughest Climates
Established in 2001, DANA Water Coolers (a division of DANA Group) stands as the oldest and most trusted manufacturer of cooling solutions in the United Arab Emirates. With over two decades of experience, our manufacturing facility in the UAE produces world-class industrial chillers, stainless steel water coolers, and tank cooling systems specifically engineered for the high-ambient temperatures of the GCC region.
1. Stainless Steel (304/316) Tank Fabrication
The core of every DANA water cooler is its storage tank. We utilize high-grade Stainless Steel 304 (Standard) or SS 316 (for marine and highly corrosive environments). Unlike plastic-lined alternatives, our food-grade stainless steel tanks ensure hygiene, prevent bacterial growth, and withstand the structural stresses of thermal expansion.
2. Precision Argon (TIG) Welding
To ensure 100% leak-proof integrity, all joints and fittings are joined using advanced Argon Welding (TIG). This process creates a clean, strong, and highly durable bond that can withstand the vibrations of the compressor and the high pressures of the refrigerant circuit. Every weld is visually inspected and pressure-tested before moving to the next stage.
3. T3 Tropical Compressor Assembly
A cooling system is only as good as its heart. DANA integrates T3 Climate Class compressors (Emerson/Copeland or Danfoss) designed specifically for tropical environments. These compressors are capable of operating efficiently even when ambient temperatures soar to 55°C (131°F), a critical requirement for UAE summers.
4. Advanced Coil Coating (Gold Fin Technology)
Corrosion is the leading cause of cooling failure in coastal regions like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. At the DANA factory, we treat our copper coils and aluminum fins with Gold Fin anti-corrosive coating. This specialized hydrophilic layer protects the condenser from salt air, humidity, and pollutants, significantly extending the lifespan of the unit and maintaining heat exchange efficiency.
5. High-Ambient Performance Testing
Before any unit leaves the factory, it enters our Quality Assurance Environmental Chamber. We simulate extreme UAE summer conditions, testing the unit’s pull-down time, thermostat accuracy, and electrical safety at high loads. Only units that maintain stable outflow temperatures under high-ambient stress receive the DANA Certified seal.
